JLIC at UCLA Needs your Help!

What's the deal?

After investing ten years and well over $1 million dollars into the Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus (JLIC) at UCLA, the Orthodox Union (OU) is seeking the partnership of the locals to enable the program to continue in Los Angeles. The OU is committing the Kaplans, and their ongoing support to continue building and enhancing Orthodox life on campus.  But, in order to keep the program at UCLA local stakeholders (Hillel, students, parents, alumni, community members, etc.) are needed to make ongoing commitments to donate money to leverage the OU's funds.

What will happen if we don't get the money?

To make a long story short, we won't have a JLIC community at UCLA. We can all agree that both for Orthodox students and the UCLA Jewish community as a whole, this would be disastrous. This is why we need your help. With small annual donations, we can make Orthodox life happen for UCLA students, and the Kaplans can continue enriching the lives of so many of us!

You have seen what JLIC has accomplished at UCLA. We have daily minyanim, full Shabbat programming, holiday celebrations, the highest kashrut standards, chevrutot, nearly daily shiurim, and tons of shidduchim and lifelong friendships. Our goal is to raise $100,000. We need you to donate money and get others to commit. Help us enable this valuable program to continue in LA!

That sounds Optimal! How do I help?

To make a tax deductible donation, through the OU, click the button below or bring a check (made out to JLIC) to Rabbi Kaplan. Thank You!
